Norton Boat Works of Green Lake is partnering with the nonprofit organization Green Lake Renewal to offer wooden boat rides on the Saturday of Harvest Fest, September 29, from 9 am to 3 pm. Boat rides are 20 minutes long and tickets will be sold at the wharf in Deacon Mills Park for $10 each. All proceeds will benefit Green Lake Renewal's Town Square Community Center.

“People will be riding a 1990 30' Hacker Craft Triple Cockpit Runabout that can hold 7 or 8 people comfortably,” said Jorge Gutierrez of Green Lake Renewal. “This limo-like boat is arguably one of the best crafts ever made, so you are all in for a treat!”

The Norton family has been building boats since the late 1800s. They have been in business as Norton Boat Works since 1970, and over the years, they have built and restored hundreds of classic wooden boats. From repairing a simple "dock rash" to designing a brand new custom cruise, Norton Boat Works are a full service wooden boat building facility aiming to serve the community.

Projects and programs of Green Lake Renewal, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, are made possible by the generous support of the Green Lake area community. Green Lake Renewal operates the Town Square Community Center, Green Lake Kitchens and Green Lake Fitness 24/7. For further information, call 920-807-0008 or visit www.greenlakerenewal.org.
