Artist Co-op Hosts Holiday Open House at Town Square December 15

The artists of the corner store co-op will host a holiday sale and open house on Saturday, December 15 at Town Square Community Center in Downtown Green Lake from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Special handmade holiday gift items will be on sale, including jewelry, fabric art, photos, cards and framed art. Visitors will also get a chance to create their own personalized gift tags and ornaments at the co-op’s “Make It & Take It’’ tables for a very small fee.

Back by popular demand, artist Donna Marquart will be teaching a series of stained glass art classes on Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning September 4, 2018 through September 25, 2018 at Town Square Community Center in Green Lake. Participants of all skill levels can sign up for the four-week session for $100 per person, which includes most materials.

Rafael Salas to Offer a One-Time Life Drawing Workshop at Town Square

This workshop is open to all levels. It does not assume any prior experience or that one will become an artist, but it prepares all to do stronger work in fields that depend upon creative thinking. Participants can expect to learn historical and contemporary life drawing techniques practiced by the greats, using simple materials—pencils, charcoal and erasers—as means of discovery. The $50 registration fee will help offset the cost of hiring a live model and cover materials like artist tape, charcoal sticks, a charcoal pencil kit, and strathmore drawing paper.
