Fox Valley blues music duo, Still Blue, is set to play the Market at Town Square this friday, June 8 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on 492 Hill St in Downtown Green Lake. The performance is free and open to the public.
More than 40 Town Square community center volunteers were recognized at the annual volunteer appreciation celebration, hosted by Green Lake Renewal Board Member Jo Ellen Madden and Ambassador Joan Lloyd. The event was held at the Greenway House Bed and Breakfast and catered by Kari Schliecher of Bliss Catering in Green Lake last Friday evening.
People from the Green Lake area and beyond are invited to play for the long-lost treasure at Pirate’s Booty Bingo on Saturday, May 25 at Town Square Community Center in Downtown Green Lake. Doors and concessions open at 5:00 pm, game sales open at 5:30 pm and game sessions start at 6:30 pm. The 13-game series features a new super progressive jackpot prize of at least $600, a new speedy bingo game, two double jackpot game payouts, plus a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and plenty of family fun. Concessions will be available for purchase, including $2 Sheboygan hot dogs, chips, beer, and wine.
Fresh produce, pasture-raised pork, grass-fed beef, farm-fresh eggs, fresh-baked breads, and made-to-order foods are just some of the signature goods being offered at Town Square’s Friday markets this summer. The season, featuring over 15 new and returning vendors, will kick off Friday, May 24 at 3:00 pm on the Town Square Community Center lawn in Downtown Green Lake.
Town Square Community Center is excited to bring back Camp Chocolate, a most delicious summer program and learning experience for children kindergarten through 8th grade. Three sessions will be held for separate age groups: June 11 through 14 for grades k-2, June 18 through 21 for grades 3-5, and June 25 through 28 for grades 6-8. The camp will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday. The price for the program including materials is $30 per child.
Colton Burt, a certified personal trainer and owner of Priority Fitness, will operate and manage Town Square’s Green Lake Fitness, taking over responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the downtown Green Lake 24-hour fitness and exercise facility. A native of Neshkoro, Mr. Burt has been in the fitness business since graduating from Wautoma High School and holds a certified personal training certificate from ACE—one of the country’s top, nationally-recognized certification programs.
